Ohio Business Scholarships

Surety & Fidelity Industry Intern and Scholarship Program for Underrepresented Students

The Surety & Fidelity program provides awards up to $5,000 to outstanding minority students who are pursuing a degree in the areas of insurance/risk management, accounting, economics or business/finance. Eligible applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Students must be a U.S. citizen and must have completed at least their sophomore year, including at least six semester hours (or equivalent) in their major field. The LAGRANT Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship

This program awards 30 scholarships annually to undergraduate students who are pursuing careers in advertising, marketing or public relations. Students must be a member of one of the following ethnic groups: African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino or Native American/Alaska Native. Applicants must be full-time students at accredited, four-year institutions. Students must also have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have at least one year of study left. PMI Southwest Ohio Chapter Milestone Scholarship

The Southwest Ohio chapter of the Project Management Institute promotes project management as a profession. The scholarship, valued up to $2,500, may be awarded in whole or in part to one or more individuals. Applicants must live in the area that the PMI Southwest Ohio Chapter serves and must be seeking training in project, program or portfolio management. For information about this award, click here.

Ohio National Guard Scholarship

This scholarship provides 100% tuition to Army and Air Guard members who are attending a two- or four-year public college or university. An equivalent amount that is the average state university tuition charge can be applied toward costs at a private institution. Participants must commit to and/or complete an enlistment in the Ohio National Guard. New enlistees must complete basic training and obtain a military job skill to qualify. McKinney Family Fund Scholarship

The McKinney Family Fund was created to advance education by providing scholarships to those seeking post-secondary education to reach their fullest potential. Preference will be given to applicants of minority descent. Criteria include:

  • 2.5 cumulative GPA (4.0 scale)
  • Residing in Ohio for a minimum of two years
  • Attending or planning to attend an accredited college, university or graduate school on a full-time or part-time basis in pursuit of an associate, bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree

Marketing EDGE Scholarships

This award is for undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing a career in marketing. Participation in one of Marketing EDGE’s programs gains you access to marketing scholarship awards ranging from $1,000 to $7,000. Selections are based on a combination of academic performance and demonstrated interest in the marketing field (classes, extracurricular activities, internships, etc.).
