Winter Information

For those of you that do not live in the Cleveland Area, the winters here can be very brutal. In recent years, Cleveland has been subject to large amount of snow and ice accumulation. Vehicles parked on campus before and during a winter snow may be required to be moved for plowing. You will be contacted by campus police, maintenance, or residence life at any time to move your vehicle. We also recommend you keep a snow brush, at least one bottle of windshield washer fluid, and a small shovel in your vehicle during the winter months.

Parking at Notre Dame College is provided to all students, faculty, staff, and visitors free of charge. All persons may park in any legal spot on campus, provided it is not designated as Handicapped, Admissions, or otherwise reserved with the appropriate signage or painted markings.

We ask that resident students park only in the parking lots directly contiguous to the residence halls, if possible. This will ensure commuter students, faculty, staff, and visitors can park reasonably close to the Administration Building. If you are going to park a vehicle on campus for an extended period of time, please ensure to periodically check the tire pressure and battery level. A vehicle that is not used for an extended period of time, especially during the winter months, will lose tire pressure and battery voltage. Remember, campus police does have tools to assist you should your tires go flat or battery die.

If your vehicle is not parked properly, it may be ticketed, immobilized, or towed at your expense.

All towed and impounded vehicles can be recovered by contacting:

Knight’s Towing
16100 South Waterloo Road
Cleveland, OH 44110

All visitors must register with the campus police department or Office of Residence Life. Visitor registration forms must be filled out completely and carried with the visitor at all times while on campus. The registration form includes:

Visitor’s Name
Name of the student visiting
Legal address
Valid primary contact telephone number
Driver’s license state and number
Vehicle make, model, color, and year
License plate state and number
Visitors to students may only park in the lots contiguous to the residence halls.

Admissions Office Guests

Guests of the Admissions Office or any other office on campus may only park in the main parking lot, directly contiguous to the Administration Building. Admissions guests have four (4) reserved parking spots located in the main parking lot of the Administration Building. Guests of the Admissions Office may park there at any time.
