Scholarships for NDC Online Students

Be sure to take advantage of the scholarships available to NDC Online students.

At Notre Dame College, we understand that you are making a substantial investment when you make the decision to go back to school. You’re putting not only just your time, but also your hard-earned money into meeting your personal and professional goals. Though career advancement ultimately makes the financial outlay worthwhile, it is still important to find ways of making your college education as affordable as possible. Most students are aware of their options when it comes to federal, need-based grants and loans. Filling out a FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid, is the first step to meeting your education costs. However, a significant number of merit-based scholarships are available through community programs and organizations. It is easier than ever for Ohio students to pursue their education through a program like Notre Dame College Online. To help you get started, we’ve profiled some of the best scholarship opportunities offered exclusively to students in the Buckeye State.

Choose Ohio First

The Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program is part of the state’s strategic effort to strengthen Ohio’s position in STEM-related fields such as medicine, computer technology and alternative energy. This scholarship is awarded to Ohio colleges, universities and their business partners in order to recruit and retain more Ohio students into STEM fields. To date, Choose Ohio First scholarships have been awarded to more than 4,000 students. Scholarship awards range from $1,500 to $5,200 per student, per academic year. It provides grant money to Ohio residents who demonstrate the highest levels of financial need, as determined by the results of the FAFSA. To be considered, students must be enrolled in an Ohio institution of higher learning and have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of 2190 or less and a maximum household income of $75,000. Applicants must also establish residency in Ohio. The Forever Buckeye provision removes the 12-month period of establishing domicile in Ohio before becoming eligible for in-state tuition rates. Forever Buckeye aims to encourage young people to return to Ohio and improve the quality of applicants in the Ohio job market. For more information, visit here.
