Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN)

The Admission Committee of the Notre Dame College Division of Nursing is looking for Registered Nurses who are serious about advancing their nursing careers to the next educational and professional level.

Admission Requirements:

  • Complete online application
  • Admission to Notre Dame College
  • Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing – program must be accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Verification of an active RN license in the state of residence
  • Completion of prerequisite and support courses with a grade of C or higher, must be completed prior to graduation from the RN to BSN program.
  • Copy of official transcript

Associate of Arts in Business Management

NDC admits students who demonstrate the potential for outstanding scholarship and a commitment to integrity. Admissions decisions are made on a case-by-case basis upon completion of an admissions interview and review of previous coursework. A minimum overall GPA of 2.5 is required for full admission to Notre Dame College.

Notre Dame College requires the following from each student seeking admission to associate degree programs:

  • Application for admission
  • Official final high school transcript stating date of graduation
  • Official transcripts from all college level coursework
  • Admissions interview

Academic transcripts must be submitted to Notre Dame College directly by the issuing school in order to be considered official.


4th/5th Grade Endorsement

Admission Requirements:

  • Complete online application
  • Must have proof of Early Childhood PK-3 teaching license
  • 8-10 hours per week of study/ online engagement per course
  • Ten hours of field experience required per course (NDC does not provide placement)
  • 2 to 4 live (synchronous) online sessions required (see each course for details)
  • A minimum 3.0 average throughout the program

Master of Arts in Security Policy Studies

The Graduate Admissions Committee is looking for well-rounded students who demonstrate a sincere interest and desire to make a positive impact on the field of homeland security, intelligence and emergency management.

Admission Requirements:

  • Complete online application
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field of study
  • Overall cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above from a regionally accredited institution
  • Effective communication skills, demonstrated through the interview, writing sample and relevant work experience
  • Copy of official transcript
  • Official test scores from one of the following tests*: Graduate Record Exam (GRE), Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT), Miller’s Analogies Test (MAT). Students who have a master’s degree, a bachelor’s degree less than 5 years ago, an undergraduate GPA above between 3.5-4.0, or who have career experience in the government sector are not required to take any of the assessments.

* Satisfactory score on the GRE (280 combined verbal and quantitative score) or a comparable score on either the GMAT (between 400 and 600) or the MAT (400).


Graduate Certificates in Security Policy Studies

Master of Education

The admissions office determines admission to the graduate program in professional education based on applicants’ potential for scholarship, leadership as professional educators and dedication to lifelong learning.

Admission Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in any field of study is required. If students have not earned a degree, they may consider enrolling in Notre Dame College’s undergraduate program and earning their bachelor’s degree in education.
  •  An overall cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above from a regionally accredited institution is also required. NDC may admit students with a GPA lower than 2.75 on a provisional status.

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

The following criteria comprise the admissions requirements for the MSN program:

  • Complete the online application
  • Submit all required documents  to the nursing department by the application deadline to receive priority review.  Files that are incomplete will not be considered for admission.
  • Complete baccalaureate degree with an upper division major in nursing from a program accredited by a nationally recognized nursing accrediting authority (CCNE or NLNAC).
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for the baccalaureate nursing degree.
    • Potential Candidates may be considered with a 2.75 for provisional acceptance for one term only with specific stipulations.
  • Have a current RN license in good standing to practice professional nursing in the United States.
  • One year of experience as a registered nurse.
  • Three professional letters of recommendation completed by persons who are familiar with the applicant’s work experience, clinical skills and educational goals.
  • A two page essay that describes the applicants reasons for pursuing graduate study.
  • Submission of a resume or curriculum vitae (CV).

TEEL Program (Evening/Online)

Admission Requirements:

  • Complete online application
  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Minimum undergraduate grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale
  • Official transcripts for all college work
  • Names and contact information of two professional references
  • Completed application for admission form
